Swapping Purple for P!nk

March 19th I attended the P!nk, Truth About Love Tour! That's what the pic above there is attempting to show. Damn lighting ruins it every time but she had a kick ass opening for sure!!  My favorite color is purple but as my facebook status said, for that night only it was P!nk!

P!nk is one of those women that you just know would be awesome to hang out with. She seems so laid back & fun but hard working and definitely determined. The women sings, dances and does acrobatics. It's not just your average dancing either, she gets down with the contemporary dance and everything. As for the acrobatics, she's flying around and spinning with the silk and swinging on poles.... yeah, she's definitely a role model of fitness.

I was able to get a few better shots of her while she was up & above the crowd so here are those:

She definitely doesn't have a fear of heights! Let's just say that to say she ROCKED! would be an understatement for sure. She had sold out concerts so she's already set up a 2nd go round & she'll be coming back to Minnesota in Nov so I may just have to make plans to attend that one also. It'll be a bigger venue so who knows what crazy antics she'll perform there!?!?

Her openers were City and Colour, from Canada:

Of course it's not a great picture but I loved the lights in this one for a change... LOL. They were great also. Lighter musical stylings than P!nk herself but she said they were one of her favorite groups & the lead singer was pretty awesome. I'll have to check out more of their stuff for sure.

I always love to people watch at big events cause you know, people are interesting:-) Well, there was definitely a mix of fun stuff this evening but one of the ones I got a kick out of the most, or 2 I should say, are:

Again, not the best pic cause I had to snap fast... people kept getting in the way! I'm not sure who these ladies are but a ton of people wanted their picture taken with them.  I thought the one in the gold outfit was an old lady cause she had a cane & such but she wasn't old & the one in the boots there... well I think that was a cross dresser.  If so, he definitely worked those boots & rocked the poses for a little picture glam session that the one in gold shot.  They were quite the crowd pleasers... LOL

All in all, great night.  P!nk puts on an awesome show so see her if you ever have a chance!

Next show I'll probably blog about is Pauly Shore... you remember him right??  That was fun for sure so tune in, I'll post that soon:-)

Kid Rock & Seger!

March 15th was the Kid Rock & Bob Seger concert ya'll & it was awesome! I've seen Kid Rock before and I just love him so I couldn't pass this one up. It was a sold out crowd, I think it appeared fuller than Maroon5 was even, on March 4th!  If that's possible... it was  probably all in my point of view this time since I wasn't lost in that sea of heads on the floor.  I was first level this time & could see above the heads:-)  The pictures as you can see from the above aren't any better from that view however.  I kept trying though....

And then during one of his patriotic moments I got this shot, which is rather cool on the lighting but he's sort of still lost in the glow:

Kid Rock definitely puts on a great concert. Lots of energy and he has a wide range of musical talents. He has some awesome back up singers & his band & DJ kick some butt. I think I've been to 2 concerts of his before this one and I'd definitely go again.

If he weren't enough, we then saw Bob Seger:

Dude rocked it also! He sang Like a Rock even... awesome experience was had for sure.  Next concert is P!nk.  I already know she will rock it!  Mostly cause it's already happened... I'm behind on my timely blogging:-)  How can she not rock it though, she's P!nk.... the ! in her name says it all;-)

Concert Fun

Guess where I was last night??  That pic up above tells ya but in case you need more clues, how about this one:

Yep, as the first picture says, it's Maroon 5 & more importantly... according to most of the female persuasion (& some male I'm sure)... Adam Levine.  Now I should preface this by saying that I personally think the guy can be rather douchey but after watching the Voice & seeing him joke with Blake, Cee-Lo & Christina I found him to be sort of funny... but still a little douchey.  LOL!  I do like his music & lets face it, the man can sing. I'll admit he's not hard on the eyes, I love the tats & because of the Voice I've seen another side of him so I wanted to check out the concert. I went for the experience & it was pretty great, he puts on a good show & wasn't so douchey during it. He even took a moment to get up & personal with a fan who was celebrating a birthday, how sweet... let me tell ya, the ladies behind me just about melted from that sight. So my opinion of the dude is that while there is that douchey side, he's an ok guy with a great talent for entertaining & I'll never meet him personally so I can overlook the douche factor & enjoy the talent. So nice of me right, as if it makes his day or something... LOL!

Owl City & Neon Trees opened for Maroon 5 and the music the arena plays as they make you wait, before & in between the acts, was all kinds of fun so all in all it was a great night... that ended in a long wait to get out of the parking ramp, into the lovely March snowfall that we are always destined to have in Minnesota. That continued throughout the night & into the next day (pretty much all day). Gotta love Minnesota!

Now, I can't seem to master the concert photo taking skills so I don't bring my camera anymore but I still try to get a few with the camera phone. I'm always so jealous of those around me with their phones that seem to be taking much better pictures, when they look like the exact same phone! I just don't have the skills I tell ya. We were close enough to see but not close enough for great photos & the lights are what intervene with my photo taking abilities.  I didn't get any good ones of Owl City but here's the best for Neon Trees:

That's the lead singer you see there but it could be your next door neighbor for as much as you can see in the photo... LOL!  I figured the name of the group on the screen there covers it enough.  Here's the best I could get of Adam in person, rather than on the big screen:

I haven't been blogging as much but I figure it's time to get back to at least blogging about the fun stuff so this qualified.  The next concert in line, for March, is Bob Seeger & Kid Rock. That should be excellent.  I've seen Kid Rock before & he puts on a great show so I couldn't pass up the duo.  After that, also in March, it's P!NK and that should be awesome also.  We'll see if I can get some better pictures for those, Lord knows I keep trying!

So that's it for today folks.  I leave saying if you haven't heard Neon Trees then check them out, they're pretty great. Owl City is from Minnesota & they too have some good tunes. If you don't know about Maroon 5 then you've been under a rock... joking, but check em out too then!  The picture that started out the blog actually ended the concert but before that it was all confetti & a different flag so I end today with that photo, enjoy:
