Seasonal Playground Cheer

Summer's ended and fall is here
All bundled up for playground cheer

We race down the slides
Like those state fair rides
It is a little chilly
We keep warm being silly

The wind is blowing
Our noses glowing
Hands a little cold
But the fun we uphold

We climb up and slide down
I always win and you frown
I may ease up a time or two
So you aren't left feeling blue

While we're here at the playground
The leaves are tumbling all around
Trees are growing balder day by day
And all we want to do is play

Winter snow will be here soon
But not on this great afternoon
The sun is warm, the breeze is cool
So we continue our sliding dual

When the winter snow falls
It's the playground hill that calls
Slides are out and sleds are in
And in this race I too will win

Then spring and summer make their way back
The sleds are out and the slides we attack
